2ª Conferência BlueGeneration “Future-proofing the blue economy”

Gostaríamos de o convidar para a 2ª Conferência BlueGeneration “Future-proofing the blue economy”, que terá lugar em Bruxelas, Bélgica, a 5 de julho de 2023.

O evento é organizado no âmbito do projeto BlueGeneration que visa inspirar e envolver os jovens entre os 15 e os 29 anos a seguirem uma carreira sustentável na Economia Azul.

O BlueGeneration, financiado pelos EEA e Norway Grants, Fundo para o Emprego dos Jovens, já informou mais de 39.000 jovens sobre as vastas oportunidades do mercado de trabalho da Economia Azul e motivou mais de 12.000 a planear a sua carreira num dos sectores azuis: turismo costeiro, aquicultura, energia oceânica, biotecnologia marinha, construção naval, transporte marítimo e pescas.

Para tal, foram criadas ferramentas digitais, ou seja, o Blue Career Guide, que contém informações bem documentadas sobre as perspectivas de carreira azul na Bulgária, Grécia, Polónia, Portugal, Roménia e Espanha, e a Blue Careers Job Platform, que liga os participantes aos empregadores da economia azul. São oferecidos programas de mentoria, juntamente com ferramentas de validação de competências para melhor lidar com as qualificações necessárias, bem como intercâmbios de mobilidade através de visitas de estudo para ganhar experiência em primeira mão em várias profissões azuis. Além disso, o BlueGeneration reuniu especialistas da Economia Azul e de organizações juvenis para partilhar conhecimentos sobre as necessidades de competências, percursos profissionais e formação existente.

O BlueGeneration Project decorre durante 5 anos, de junho de 2018 a janeiro de 2024. A nossa ambição é transferir os conhecimentos e as ferramentas para a BlueGeneration Federation, , para continuar os nossos esforços e alargar a nossa presença à maioria dos países europeus,

Na conferência, encontrar-se-á com partes interessadas da economia azul de toda a Europa, incluindo representantes de empresas, organizações educativas públicas e privadas, associações profissionais, órgãos de governo da UE, que partilham o interesse em aderir à BlueGeneration Federation,  e capacitar mais jovens a seguir uma carreira azul, permitindo assim que a economia azul floresça.

We would like to invite you to the 2^nd BlueGeneration Conference “Future-proofing the blue economy”, that will take place in Brussels, Belgium on July 5th  2023.

The event is organized in the frame of the BlueGeneration project that aims to inspire and engage young people between 15 and 29 years to pursue a sustainable career in Blue Economy.

The BlueGeneration, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants, Fund for Youth Employment, has already informed 39,000+ young men and women about the vast opportunities of the Blue Economy job market and motivated 12,000+ to plan their career in one of blue sectors: coastal tourism, aquaculture, ocean energy, marine biotechnology, shipbuilding, maritime transport, and fisheries.

To achieve this, digital tools have been created, i.e., the Blue Career Guide, that contains well-documented information about blue career prospects in Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain and the Blue Careers Job Platform that connects the participants with employers in the Blue economy. Mentoring programs are offered along with skills validation tools to better cope with the needed qualifications, as well as mobility exchanges through study visits for gaining first-hand experience in various blue professions. On top of that, BlueGeneration has brought together experts from the Blue Economy and Youth organizations to share knowledge about skills needs, career paths and existing training.

The BlueGeneration Project runs over 5 years, from June 2018 to January 2024. Our ambition is to hand over the expertise and tools to the BlueGeneration Federation, to continue our efforts and expand the footprint to most European countries,

In the conference you will meet Blue economy stakeholders from all over Europe, including representatives of companies, private and public educational organizations, professional associations , EU Governing bodies, who share an interest to join the BlueGeneration Federation and empower more young people to pursue a blue career, thus enable Blue economy to flourish.
